Annelise Larson is an audience strategist, researcher, teacher, and longtime digital marketing specialist who helps storytellers understand how their work connects with people.

She began as an independent film producer, with training at the Canadian Film Centre and the Banff Centre for the Arts. Since 1995, she has worked in online marketing, audience development, digital discoverability, and strategy for screen media and cultural organizations.

Through Storypreneurs Unite, Annelise offers practical tools, templates, workshops, and training for creators, filmmakers, and storytellers who want to support their stories out in the world.

Through veria.ca, her audience strategy and research practice, she works with organizations, funders, institutions, and media companies navigating the changing screen media landscape.

Her work focuses on helping creators clarify who their story is for, where those audiences already gather, what language and context will help the work connect, and how stories can travel through festivals, platforms, community screenings, partners, search, social media, and direct audience channels.

She has taught and spoken across Canada for organizations including Telefilm Canada, the Canadian Film Centre, Women in Film, the National Screen Institute, and regional screen industry associations and festivals. Her research has included major reports on Canadian film distribution, audience development, digital-first creators, and the future of screen media.

Stories need an audience. Storytellers need a strategy.

Storypreneurs Unite exists to make that strategy more practical, accessible, and useful for creators.
